Carl Cole came to Decatur to work with EysterKey in September of 2000 and has been a partner with the firm since January 1, 2004. Mr. Cole has a diverse practice and has successfully represented both individuals and companies in a wide variety of legal matters. While focusing primarily on insurance litigation, during his tenure with EysterKey Mr. Cole has represented businesses and individuals on various matters ranging from medical and legal malpractice to corporate and tax matters as well as general litigation and insurance matters. He currently serves as counsel for Cotton States and American Century insureds in most north Alabama jurisdictions. He has and continues to represent numerous insurance companies but also maintains a practice devoted to representing individuals who have suffered injuries. Mr. Cole is registered with the state of Alabama as a mediator. Originally from Boaz, Alabama, Mr. Cole attended Troy State University on athletic scholarship and was a member of numerous clubs and honor societies and represented the University as a Trojan Ambassador. As a sophomore, he was voted by the faculty as Troy State’s Political Science Student of the Year in 1995 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Troy in 1997. In 2000, Mr. Cole received a juris doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Cole served as an Associate Justice of the Honor Court, the Trial Advocacy competition class, in the Student Bar Association and the Farrah Law Society. Mr. Cole is a member of Rotary International and the Decatur Morgan County Chamber of Commerce. In 2004, Mr. Cole was the Democratic Party nominee for the United States House of Representatives. He has served on the Boards or as an officer of multiple civic and charitable organizations and currently serves on the Board of the Decatur Downtown Redevelopment Authority. He is a past officer of the Morgan County Bar Association and is one of six individuals selected by the Troy University Board of Directors as a charter member of the Troy University Young Alumni Council. |
